What is goop used for?
Amazing Goop — known as Goop, for short — is a family of single-component adhesives. While All-Purpose Goop is suitable for a wide variety of repair or hobby projects, the manufacturer also provides special purpose adhesives for household, lawn and garden, marine, craft, plumbing, woodwork and automotive use.
How long does it take household goop to dry?
A full cure takes 24 to 72 hours, depending on the surrounding environment. With lower temperatures and higher humidity, cure time increases; with higher temperatures, cure time decreases. To speed drying time, apply heat using a handheld dryer set on low.
What type of glue is amazing goop?
Goop is a flexible, silicone-based adhesive. It doesn’t dry hard like CA or PVA glue. Once it’s hardened, it’s still flexible, and completely waterproof, with excellent adhesion and cohesion making it perfect for a wide range of applications that regular glue might struggle with.

How do I get rid of goop?
If you can, remove it before it cures using a little bit of acetone.
- Find a solvent.
- Test a small area of the bond by wiping solvent on GOOP.
- Apply solvent over the entire area using brush, cotton balls or cloth.

Is e6000 similar to goop?
I really like that the amazing goop is just a tiny bit thicker than the e6000 and not quite so self leveling. I feel the bonds are comparable, my mom disagrees. I’d be interested to know if anyone out there familiar with them both has a preference, and why.
