Who processes UK visa?
There are three main commercial providers: Sopra Steria for applications made within the UK, and either VFS Global or TLS Contact for applications from abroad. These providers essentially act as the gatekeepers between the “customer” (or visa applicant) and the UK government.

Where are UK visa decisions made?
A decision will be made within 5 working days of your appointment at the visa application centre. Check with your visa application centre to see if the priority visa service is available in the country you’re applying from.

Is VFS UK Open in India?

TLScontact is a service provider appointed and authorized by the French Embassy in China to operate a TLScontact visa application centre both through designated offices (referred to as “Visa Application Centre” or “VAC”) and through the TLScontact website.
Can I apply for UK visa now from India?
No, unfortunately there is no option to opt for a visa on arrival for Indian passport holders traveling to UK. So, applying for the standard UK tourist visa is the only way to go about it.

If your application is refused You’ll get a letter or an email explaining why your application was refused. Your passport will be returned, if it was kept as part of your application. Your refusal letter will explain if you have the right to either an: administrative review.
What is GWF reference number?
GWF (Global Web Form) number is a unique serial number or reference number that is issued when you first apply for a UK visa. If you don’t apply for a visa online, your details are pending in the immigration system and you will need the GWF number to book an appointment.
